How do you speak for a batch once it has left for its market?

We support companies exporting olive oil so that every batch they send can be verified before it is loaded.

Implementation

Olivex in olive oil export.

Olivex gives you a record that stands behind the product you send: verification before loading, a document that travels with the quote and checks on contract filling.

In export, a batch coming back affects more than that batch; it affects your whole position in that market. Buyers ask for purity and grade documents while still quoting, you cannot see whether contract-filled product is still the oil you sent, and the check made on arrival comes back with a result you never saw. Every market asks for different paperwork and the file is rebuilt each time.

Verification before loading: You read the batch going into the container before it leaves, and send it knowing what it is.

A document that travels with the quote: You answer the purity and grade question alongside your offer, before the buyer asks it.

Checks on contract filling: By reading product filled at another facility before it ships, you see it is still the oil you sent there.

Risks

Risks in olive oil export.

Rejection on arrival

A returned batch strains your standing in the market more than it strains freight.

Expectations that shift by market

Each destination asks a different question, so preparation is rebuilt every time.

The buyer's own checks

Large buyers run their own controls and decide on the result without sharing it with you.

EU

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2104: marketing standards for olive oil

Defines the categories of olive oil in the EU, the quality and purity characteristics of each category such as acidity and peroxide value, and the labelling rules. The category on the label of olive oil sent to the EU market must match these characteristics.

FAQ

Questions about olive oil export

Does the Olivex report replace an official analysis certificate?

No. The report is a record showing that you run your own checks. The official analysis and certification the target market asks for stay where they are; the analysis set tells you which batch is ready to go there.

Can we read contract-filled product too?

Yes. By reading product filled at another facility before it ships, you see that it is still the oil you sent there.

Meeting request

Let's try the analysis set in your operation and discuss where and how often you would be reading.

The first meeting reviews your product, sales channels and the risks you face, and recommends a suitable method.
