How do you know the olive oil you bought is really extra virgin?

We support anyone who uses olive oil in their own kitchen in seeing for themselves that the bottle they bought is the product it claims to be.

Implementation

Olivex in home use.

Olivex is a set that lets you see what you bought in your own kitchen: reading at home, seeing what your money bought and a reading history that builds up in the app.

Until now, verifying the grade on the label meant going through a laboratory; the set brings that into the kitchen. Price and the grade on the label do not always say the same thing, and taste and colour are not enough on their own to tell grades apart. Oil received as a gift or bought straight from a grower comes with no document, and you cannot see the difference between two seasons of the same brand.

Reading at home: You open the set, drop in a few drops of oil and read them with your phone. The result on screen is yours.

Buying while knowing: Trying a brand or a grower for the first time, you see for yourself what your money bought.

Your history stays with you: The bottles you read build up in the app, so you remember what you liked the next time you shop.
